The modern oven “Ognev” has long “outgrown” its predecessors, becoming more efficient and economical.
The fire chamber and the top plate of the furnace are made of high-quality structural steel 4 mm thick. The design of the stove is equipped with a convection casing, which creates air currents and quickly heats up the room, giving off heat from the stove radiating heat. But the most important thing is that on the surface of the Ognev stove you can heat up or cook food and at the same time heat the room, as well as by connecting the stove tank to the heat exchanger – heat water.
The cast-iron grate and the ash pan, which is located under the grate, allow you to adjust the intensity of air access to the firewood, which allows you to control the combustion process – increasing or decreasing it. The ash pan of the stove also serves to quickly and accurately remove ash without interrupting the combustion process.
The function of afterburning furnace gases, which is characteristic of “Canadian stoves” (bulleryan), is also implemented in the “Ognev” stove, which allows you to use the long burning mode up to 8 hours on one tab of firewood. Firewood in this case does not even burn, but smolders, “decomposes” with the release of gas, which, in fact, burns. This method is very effective – the efficiency of the Ognev furnace increases significantly, and the fuel burns out with the formation of a minimum amount of ash waste. And the small size and weight make it easy to dismantle the stove during its seasonal use.
